Description

• Establishing and Maintaining Quality Management Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in accordance with GYS170:2021 requirements. This involves creating and updating quality manuals, procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with the standard.
• Training and Competency Assessment: Provide training to laboratory personnel on quality assurance procedures, GYS170:2021 requirements and relevant policies and procedures. Assess the competency of laboratory staff and ensure ongoing training and development to maintain competence.
• Internal Auditing and Compliance Monitoring: Conduct internal audits and assessments to verify compliance with GYS170:2021 requirements and identify areas for improvement. Monitor and review laboratory processes and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• External Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and regulatory inspections. Coordinate audit activities, prepare documentation, and facilitate communication with auditors to ensure a smooth and successful audit process.
• Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA): Implement corrective and preventive actions to address nonconformities identified during audits or assessments. Investigate root causes of issues, develop action plans, and monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with laboratory operations, processes, and quality management systems. Develop risk management strategies and controls to minimize the impact of potential risks on the quality of test and calibration results.

• A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline such as chemistry, biology, environmental science.
• In-depth knowledge of GYS170:2021 and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements and principles is essential.
• Completion of GYS170:2021 training courses or certification programs can demonstrate proficiency in understanding and implementing the standard.
• Quality Management Experience: Significant experience in quality management within a laboratory environment is typically required. This may include roles such as quality assurance manager, quality control supervisor, or laboratory manager with a focus on quality management systems.
• Auditing Skills: Proficiency in conducting internal audits, assessments, and evaluations of quality management systems is important. Certification as an internal auditor or lead auditor for GYS170:2021 can be advantageous.
• Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities are essential for overseeing quality management systems, leading teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in managing personnel, delegating tasks, and fostering a culture of quality and excellence is valuable.
