Physical Therapy Associates commenced business as a sole proprietorship in 1992 at Orange Grove Road in Trincity. In 2006 Physical Therapy Associates was incorporated as a Limited Liability company under the Companies Act of Trinidad and Tobago.
 
Physical Therapy Associates Ltd. is an outpatient clinic. The services include evaluation and treatment of Orthopaedic, Neurological and Musculoskeletal complaints. Additionally, persons who present with any disease entity which affects their activities of daily living are also evaluated and treated.
 
A wellness model formulated by the Company incorporates diagnosis of movement dysfunction and sets the foundation in providing a comprehensive treatment program to clients attending Physical Therapy Associates.
 
Personnel
Physical Therapy treatment is provided primarily by Dr. Terry Romero who possesses more than 40 years’ experience in the field of Physical Therapy, commencing as a therapist at the Metropolitan Hospital in New York and rising to the position of Chief Physical Therapist.
She attained her BSc. (Health Sciences) at Hunter College, NY and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Alabama State University. Other therapists are employed to provide therapy on a part time basis. Therapists employed by PTA are required to be certified by the Physiotherapy Board of Trinidad & Tobago and be members of the Physical Therapy Association of Trinidad & Tobago.
